Children in armed conflict

Organisation Internationale Pour Les Pays Les Moins Avancés (OIPMA)
The International Organization for the Least Developed Countries (IOLDCs)

One of IOLDCs' main concerns is the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict.

We believe that by ending poverty (SDG 1), many conflicts would come to an end.

Children need to grow up in a peaceful and safe environment which enables them to make the most of their potential, knowing their human rights and pursuing their career aspirations.

IOLDCs is deeply concerned with rape and sexual abuses, mainly suffered by girls. This supposes a great violation of their dignity and integrity causing long-term traumas and health impacts.

Our main task is to advocate children’s protection, preventing their use and recruitment by peace perpetrators through our advocacy and partnerships with local NGOs.
